Yes, I have been painting daily.... and had problems with camera/computer so was unable to post....this summers collection has taken on a lighter look... naturally... as the sun intensifies... and painting by a north east light... my palette is influenced....this image is 6x18 acrylic on linen.... for price and availability contact firstname.lastname@example.org....
I find glass jars quite the challenge. It is interesting to decide where you will let the background
color peep in to add reflection and light. I liked manipulating the
paint to form the texture on the pickles. I originally planned to make
definate bumps but opted to leave them as they were. This painting is
16" x 12"
oil on board
The red in her ears, along with the red ball, caught my eye as my cat, Camille Claudell, lay in the sunshine. She is such a lady. She even drinks water by placing her paw in the water then licking it off.
Endless possibilities ...as the flag continues to fascinate with it's variations in the wind... and without wind....at rest... what a beautiful sight.... acrylic on linen gallery wrapped...contact email@example.com for price and availability
I photographed several colorful birds at the spring bird-banding on Fort Morgan peninsula last week.
These birds just completed migration from the tropics, about a 40 hour flight. Fort Morgan is one of their first land stops in the States. I have no idea how this really yellow warbler got the name prothonotary....what does that mean anyway??
More birds to come.
Also, I was really excited to find that one of my paintings was accepted for the 2013 Oil Painter of America Salon Exhibition. I am honored!
